Highways - Holmes County is served by 172.79 miles of US and State Highways with Millersburg, in the approximate center of the County, located on US 62 north to Canton and Massillon (38 miles) and south to Columbus (80 miles); SR 39 west to Mansfield (40 miles) and east to Dover-New Philadelphia and I-77 (25 miles)- and SR 83 north to Wooster and US 30 (18 miles) and 1-71 (35 miles) and south to Coshocton (24 miles). Holmes County maintains 249.42 miles of County highways while local townships control 562.84 miles of roadway.

Airports - The Holmes County Airport, maintained and operated by the local Airport Authority, is located two (2) miles from Millersburg on County Road 292 and includes a 3,500' X 65' asphalt runway equipped to handle executive aircraft. Services provided at the airport include the sale of aviation fuel, hangar and storage facilities, flight training, and repair services. (See Airport layout plan in Appendix)

The Akron-Canton Airport is located 45 miles to the northeast. The Akron-Canton Airport is Ohio’s best value airport, offering the lowest average airline fare in the state. The Airport provides nonstop service to Atlanta, Orlando, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Charlotte, and Cincinnati on US Airways, Air Tran Airways, Comair, Delta, United Airlines, and Northwest Airlines. The Airport is conveniently located just off I-77 at exit 113 between Akron and Canton. Rail - While rail service for the Millersburg area no longer exists, the peripheral areas of the County are served by the Conrail (Loudonville area) and Norfolk & Western (Sugarcreek area) systems.
