The mission of the Holmes County Health Department is to promote good health, which is the optimal state of physical, mental, and social well being and the ability to adequately function.  We will promote good health by preventing disease and unsanitary conditions, by protecting the environment from contamination and by assuring the availability and accessibility of quality health care services.  We will prudently and efficiently manage available resources.  We will be sensitive to individual rights in all activities of the department.
