| The Holmes County Planning Commission and
Office of Economic Development, located at 2 Court Street in the Old Jail
Office Building, provides long and short range planning and implementation
services for the County and its communities.
It provides demographic and marketing data, information regarding
zoning, economic development, administers the county subdivision
regulations, provides administrative
services to the Holmes County Airport Authority, Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) and the Comprehensive Housing Improvement Program
(CHIP). The Planning
Commission also provides information regarding the physical
characteristics of sites, maps, and community profiles.
